Okay, so the types of skates that are good for landing jumps and spins and just plain old skating are probably Jackson Ultima skates. I have these and they work amazingly! I am at the same step as you and I got these skates and was so happy with them! I know you will be happy too if you get these skates! Good luck in your competition! Hope I helped!
References :
Figure skater

You should look into Riedell, which is one of the top leading brands. They are a bit pricey-but they feel great and improve your skating wonderfully. The site is here: http://www.riedellskates.com and they have an online catalog that you can look at. In this, you will find a whole section dedicated to their line of competitive figure skates. They also have a recommendation part of the catalog that shows you, depending on your skating level, which boots and blades would be the best for you.

Good luck!
References :
The best skates are the ones that suit your level and fit your foot. Do not choose a skate just b/c someone else wears it. You need to be measured and fit by a professional boot fitter.
References :
competitive skater - 8 years

boot fitter & skate technician - 10 years

Okay you deffinintly want to get competitive skates. If you go to a figure skating store, the people there can help you pick the right ones. However, if you don't go to a shop, look for boots (the bottom part) that AREN'T PLASTIC!!!! You need sturier boots for jumping and spinning. Good Luck.
References :
skating since i could walk
