how do you start riding for a local skateboard shop?

im a pretty good skater, good enough to ride for a local shop anyway, well my question is, how do you exactly start riding for a local shop? i see alot of kids that im way better than, but they ride for a shop.

i would say first off get some of your best footage together (maybe around 1 minute and a half) and make a skate video.after you get it on a DVD take it to your shop and ask the owner if he could check it out. Then after that, just go around telling other skaters to buy from that shop, that’s probably how those kids that aren’t as good as you are sponsored by that shop, because they spread the word. Then from there it’s the owner’s choice.

P.S. Your lucky i don’t even have a local shop

It will vary by shop. Just ask the owner/team manager/store manager what’s involved.
