I need this for my project about Rockefeller Center. I need to know what it’s used for, and I need to know what people do there besides ice skate in the winter, shop, and dine. :]
Oh and I’m not allowed to use Wikipedia so I won’t trust answers that were used from Wikipedia…sorry!

Well i know for christmas every body looks forward to the lighting up of rockefeller christmas tree it looks so beautiful plus the hosts of performers sure rocks.

You didn’t give any information where you are. If anything you could look in a phonebook. OR, you could hang around with some skaters. Ask if they know where a local skate shop is, I’m sure they’ll know.

pretty much the first place i go for new shoes. they’re almost always the cheapest place and they ship REALLY fast. Not sure where you are, but if you’re in California, you’ll get the shoes in about 3 days.

If you have a work permit and the skate shop will hire you, yes you can. If you don’t have a work permit talk to your school counselor, you can get the permit through your local Board of Education.

My favourite online skate clothing website to shop from is flatspot.com, I must warn you though because it is very expensive and stocks the top end of designer skate goods, I only really buy stuff from there as a treat or if I really want it and can’t get it anywhere else in the UK but I can’t recommend a better clothes website.

I also shop at routeone.co.uk which I highly recommend. There is a store in Edinburgh where I get most stuff and I believe there are some stores in London and other English cities too but their website has loads more items, some quite expensive but they usually do some good deals and you can find some cheap hoddies and shirts if you have a good search.

I would check out these two sites first but I also shop at a few other skates shops that have online stores like Native Skates (Newcastle) and FocusPocus (Edinburgh).

Like what kind of tricks do you have to be able to do to get sponsored by a local skate shop. I know i’m not good enough yet but i want to know about how good i should be. Just give it your best answer cuz i know all skate shops are different.

you half to have a nice bag of tricks and be well rounded as a skater being able to skate street and park i would say as most shops want you to skate contest so that would help out a lot if your a good park skater..You should have alot of flip tricks in the bag some nice grind tricks maybe some flip in and flip out stuff on a ledge and the same with manuels and have a few nice switch tricks too can and will help…The key thing with sponsers is not what you can do really its how you present yourself as a person to be honest with you and then its your skating if your a cool guy and have a good personality that will get your along way in the buisness period…
