i don’t want to sell clothes but can i just work at these stores specifically with their boards like setting it up and stuff? I know i can work at a real skate shop which is something i will do but i was wondering if they hire people that specifically work only at the skate shop portion, i love putting boards together and you know..riding them.
i woked at zumiez before. if its one thing they want in a person its the pure excitement. at an interview i was forced to dance infront of kids with 6 other people i never met. on top of that i needed to dance to get a job, and i cant dance. what they were looking for in the people is, whos telling people what to do as in a leader. also people who go along with the leader and seem to have fun with it. the pople that dont get the job is the ones who looked like zombies and shrugged. but thay dont do this type of interview often. normally its a regular interview, they ask you questions. if they find you fun and enjoyable and easy to talk to. your perfect for the job. just remember to be loud, happy, and open
I have an interview next week at a surf/skate clothing shop and I don’t know what to wear at the interview. For guys it’s a lot easier because they can just wear jeans and a skate shirt but as a girl, I have no idea what to wear. All suggestions will help! Thanks

thats what i wear normally and the guys at zumiez (a skate shop in the mall) always tell me to apply. so i guess i dress like a skater? idk lol

not only how do i start, but if i own a vans skate shop, how exactly do i make money? do i have to pay vans a certain percentage in order for the name?

you cant open a vans skate shop because you wont be making the money vans will its like buying or renting a place buy vans stuff sell it and have to give them all and most of your profit plus it will be like if yo just work there and your paying for place for them so just go sign up to a vans skate shop instead like the one by santa monica beach thats the best you can do.

First if you can have someone to record you skate like doing a kick flip a 4 or 6 stair and ask if you can talk to one of the team members and show them the video then ask them if you have a little chance of getting sponsored.
