I want to buy a skateboard from somewhere local, but I don’t know that much skateboard shops. I know there’s one in downtown Covina. In West Covina they sell sell some blanks at a place called Shoe Central (skate shop inside), but completing them is somewhat expensive.

So anyone know any other shops? It can be nearby, not exactly in this specific area.

check west49.com they hav a store locator and it’s very easy to read and also go to sportchek and sportmart if thwey hav hav any and if u can settle with world industries and also check on the internet if u cant find any at the end of ur search dude u hav all winter to fid one too

Nike SB aren’t sold in many shops, usually you have to order them online.

Hi I live in England and I have always had a desire to run my own skateboard shop, where I live there are a lot of skateboarders just no shops, I also know the perfect location. Is there an age limit to having your own shop? I am 16. Any extra info on running your own shop would be appreciated. Many Thanks James

That is a great idea. Sometimes what people do instead of opening a shop is act as a selling agent to other shops. This involves buying the parts or package deals at factory price independently and selling them on to shops, so you dont have to worry about rents/overheads. You can still have a company name, and when you gain enough money you can start your own shop, although with the skate industry sometimes less is more…you know the kind of skaters that like to have boards as individuals as tatoos? I used to be one lol
One idea I had in the past was to buy blank decks and start my own custom board company, simply selling to shops and private buyers, although I got to comfortable with my office job and regular, predictable pay. Still, he who dares wins…
