how do you start riding for a local skateboard shop?

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

im a pretty good skater, good enough to ride for a local shop anyway, well my question is, how do you exactly start riding for a local shop? i see alot of kids that im way better than, but they ride for a shop.

i would say first off get some of your best footage together (maybe around 1 minute and a half) and make a skate video.after you get it on a DVD take it to your shop and ask the owner if he could check it out. Then after that, just go around telling other skaters to buy from that shop, that’s probably how those kids that aren’t as good as you are sponsored by that shop, because they spread the word. Then from there it’s the owner’s choice.

P.S. Your lucky i don’t even have a local shop

I need a name for a skateboard shop, anyone?

Friday, January 15th, 2010

I need a good name for my skateboard shop

when I used to skate, me and my friend always dreamed of naming a skate shop "out to launch" like a launch ramp? This was about 1989 and I don’t know if kids even use launch ramps anymore.

is the sub zero skateboard shop in philadelphia still around?

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

i went there a while back and it was on some street in south philadelphia and the next time i went there, it had moved across the street, and then when i went there after that, it wasnt on that street anymore at all. is sub zero still around in philadelphia, like did they just have to change addresses or what?? or are they closed down now?

Phonebook says they’re at 517 S. 5th St., which if my math is right should put them between Lombard and South.

Phone number is 267-278-2738

Skateboard park / shop / lessons in IL, near Montgomery?

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

My 5 year old son really wants to get into skateboarding so I want to take him to a skateboard shop and pick out a board. I already got good advice on what to get him but now I need to find a place that will give him lessons too. And possibly a place to practice, but everything I have found so far is pretty far from Montgomery. Some nearby towns are Oswego, Naperville, Aurora, & Plano. Can anyone direct me to something nearby us?

if you have a drive way that would be the best place for him to start skating and just get him a dvd to watch and help both of you out to learn some tricks.

What is the best place to shop for skateboard longboards here in the Philippines?

Friday, November 13th, 2009

I am trying to find for bamboo skateboard longboards at a cheap price ( less than 15,000 pesos). Where could I find one?

Thanks in advance :)

all you need is a jig saw a piece of 7 or 8 ply piece of wood. Then buy some trucks and wheels. Take it to a skate shop to drill the holes. If you cant find a skate shop. drill them by your self.

Also try buying online

Are There any skateboard shops near kaiserslautern , Germany?

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Hey does anyone know where there are any skateboard shops in Kaiserslatuern,Germany? Or Near that area? Thanks!

There is one at the corner of Richard Wagner Str. 2 Across the street in one direction is Fackel Passage, ( the big orange building) and across the other street is Karstadt. The name of the store is 540 FIVEFOURTY.

If you go to Karstadt on the bottom floor and go out the side door between the jewelry and dishes, as you go out turn right and it will take you under the road. When you go up the stairs you will be directly in front of the store.
